I saved seats in the school auditorium for 45 minutes. It was our middle son’s orchestra concert and I wanted to be close.
I only saved a seat for my husband. I didn’t know he’d bring our youngest son. He got irritated. I quickly asked the people beside us to shift down a seat and they immediately did, but it was too late. He was already angry. He walked back a few rows and sat down, even though I now I had 2 empty seats available. I turned around and beckoned him forward, pointing to the seats. He shook his head and refused to come forward and sit with me. He had brought me some cut up watermelon because I had asked him to bring me some food. So he walked forward, gave me the tupperware container full of watermelon and said I could sit alone. I was so confused. I sat there stunned for a few minutes and then finally moved a few rows back and sat with them. But of course, he ignored me and refused to talk to me the whole time and for the rest of the evening.
